ScaleUp Summit 2026 · 10th edition

How to WIN

Wednesday 18 November · Studio 21, Amsterdam area

Four hundred growth entrepreneurs. One question.

Verne Harnish. James Allen. Sam Walker. On stage, in one room, for one day.

Some companies compound. Others stall.

Every founder knows this is true. Very few can say why it happened to them.

A strong team, a clear strategy, a real culture, an ambition worth chasing. We all know the ingredients. So why do some companies keep pulling away while others, working just as hard with the same ingredients, flatten out?

Is it the leader? The psychology of the team? Or, uncomfortably, is a lot of it luck?

For the tenth edition of the ScaleUp Summit, we put that question to the people best placed to answer it, and then put four hundred entrepreneurs in the room to argue with them.

Who you'll hear from

Portrait of Verne Harnish
Double keynote

Verne Harnish

Founder, Scaling Up

He wrote the book on scaling. Literally: Scaling Up is the methodology hundreds of thousands of companies run on, and the backbone of how we work.

Portrait of James Allen

James Allen

Co-author, The Founder's Mentality · Advisory Partner, Bain & Company

He leads Bain's Global CEO Forum and advises a network of more than three thousand international chief executives. His subject: how organisations keep their speed, edge and hunger while they scale.

Portrait of Sam Walker

Sam Walker

Author, The Captain Class

He studied thousands of sports teams to find what separates the ones that win. The answer surprised him, and it is not what most leadership books tell you.

Portrait of Eva de Mol

Eva de Mol

Co-founder, CapitalT

Tech investor, author, and a researcher of founding teams before she started funding them. Her book and podcast DEAL WITH IT are unusually honest about power, money and myth-making in tech.

Portrait of Joep Verbunt

Joep Verbunt

Founder, Matt Sleeps

Winner of the FD Gazelle Oryx for the best growth entrepreneur in the Netherlands. Took Matt Sleeps past €100 million with a small team and innovative products. He is here to be asked how.

Portrait of Ap Dijksterhuis

Ap Dijksterhuis

Professor of Psychology, Radboud University

One of the best-known researchers on intuition, unconscious processing and decision-making, the part of you that decides before you notice you have.

Hosted by Nadia van der Vlies and Kees de Jong.

Come with the people who'll still be arguing about it on the flight home

The founders who get the most out of this day don't come alone.

A keynote you attend by yourself is a good afternoon. A keynote your leadership team attends together becomes the reference point for the next twelve months of decisions, the thing someone brings up in a meeting in March and everyone immediately understands.

That's why we've made a table of ten available. Bring your leadership team. Bring the two people you're about to promote. Bring the co-founder you keep having the same conversation with.

Everything in a single seat, for your whole leadership team

Our partner hotel is The Nox Hotel in Utrecht, about twenty minutes from the venue. Book your own room at thenoxhotel.com with the code Scaleup for 10% off the best available rate, valid on 17 and 18 November.

This is the House of Entrepreneurship rate. It isn't a promotion and it isn't negotiated. It's what being part of this network is worth.

Better yet: make it more than one day together

You could come for the day, shake a lot of hands in the breaks, and fly home knowing a few more names.

Or you could give it the time it deserves. The ScaleUp International Experience is everything around the Summit: an afternoon on the water before it starts, and the night after the last keynote, with the founders and coaches from every market we work in.

Add The Experience

Priced once we know how many are coming

Included

  • Happy hour on the water, late afternoon on 17 November, a private boat through the canals, drinks and something to eat on board
  • The ScaleUp International afterparty, evening of 18 November

You book

  • Your flight and your room. The rest is arranged.

How the price works

A boat and an evening cost roughly the same whether thirty of us come or eighty. The more of you there are, the less it costs per person. We'll confirm your price before anything is binding.

One day with the network. Or three.

How it goes

Arrive and get to know the room

Tuesday 17 November

Arrive and get to know the room

Land in the morning or over lunch. Check in, drop your bag, and meet the group in the afternoon.

Late afternoon we take to the water: a private boat through the canals with founders and coaches from across our markets, Denmark, Türkiye, Italy, Bulgaria, the Netherlands and beyond. Drinks and something to eat on board. No programme, no presentations, no name badges.

You're back on dry land with the evening ahead of you, and by then you'll know who you want to have dinner with. This is the part people tell us about afterwards.

Happy hour on the water is part of The Experience.

The Summit

Wednesday 18 November

The Summit

Transport from the hotel in the morning. Doors at 09:00, last keynote at 18:00, drinks reception at the venue straight after.

Then transport back to the hotel, and the ScaleUp International afterparty for anyone who has more to give. That one's part of The Experience.

Home

Thursday 19 November

Home

Breakfast, goodbyes, and a flight with a notebook full of things you now have to do.

We think the hardest thing about a two-day trip should be deciding to go.
